Three Minute Thesis

Abstract

The three-minute-thesis is a competition run in acadmeic institutions where postgraduate students attempt to sum up their PhD research in three minutes. The time constraint is very strict and it is very difficult to squeeze everything in! Below is my attempt in the College of Social Science heat. I was lucky enough to win one of three places in the University-wide final. Although I think I did a better job in the final than in the video below, I didn’t win any prizes. The competition was amazing and everybody’s talks were really interesing. I was really delighted that my collegue from the College of Social Sciences, Kirsty Deacon, won a runner-up place. Her talk was so interesting I have included it here as well. You can see all entries to the competition at this link
